BACKGROUND TO SUPPORT THE RECOMMENDATION
A decision was made to undertake a procurement exercise to establish a new contract for Pool Plant Servicing and Responsive Maintenance for North Yorkshire Council. The new contract includes provision to provide all relevant servicing and maintenance for additional Council properties as other contract arrangements expire, as well as provision for Property’s Traded Service Property Solutions clients. With this picking up servicing and maintenance of Pool Plant, Pool Moving Floors, Pool Covers and Saunas.
The decision to procure was made on the 19th May 2025, with the procurement being a key decision.
The contract awarded will be for a duration of two years with an option to extend for a further three-year period (resulting in a maximum contract period of five years).
LEGAL AND GOVERNANCE COMPLIANCE
The procurement exercise was undertaken by the Council’s Procurement and Contract Management Service May to August 2025.
The procurement of the contract was a key decision. The proposal to procure was entered on the forward plan in October 2024.
RECOMMENDATION
That the contract be awarded for Pool Plant Maintenance be approved.
